Project Updates

Malmak Sun Power Energy Ltd continues to record significant progress in the development of the 150 MW Solar PV and 150 MWh Battery Energy Storage Project located in Chisamba District, Central Province.

Following the successful completion and approval of the Feasibility Study, the project has now advanced to two major milestones:

Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA)

​

We are currently conducting a comprehensive Environmental Impact Assessment to ensure the project aligns with Zambia’s environmental guidelines and global sustainability standards. This includes detailed studies on biodiversity, land use, community engagement, and climate considerations.

Grid Interconnection Study (GIS)

​

In parallel, the Grid Interconnection Study is underway to determine the optimal integration of the project into Zambia’s national grid. This crucial analysis evaluates transmission capacity, power evacuation options, and network stability to ensure reliable distribution of clean energy.

These developments bring us closer to project implementation and reinforce our commitment to delivering dependable renewable power to communities, industries, and national utilities across Zambia and the Southern African region.
